Professional Development: Part I: Applying to Graduate Programs and Part II: How to Succeed in Graduate School.

Part I of this workshop (first hour) is for undergraduates interested in applying to graduate programs, masters students applying to doctoral programs, and faculty who work with these students, but all are welcome. This workshop will consist of a brief presentation of factors to think about before and during the application process, followed by a question and answer session with panelists including current graduate students and faculty experienced in graduate admissions procedures from several different institutions. Part II (second hour) will be a discussion of tips on how to do well in graduate school presented by a panel of postdocs and faculty, with a question and answer session following. Participants may participate in one or both halves of the workshop.
